Riley Knies and Patrick Hasenour exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m. on Nov. 25, 2017, in St. Celestine Catholic Church, Celestine. Father Eugene Schmitt officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dale and Robin Knies of Celestine. The groom is the son of Gary and Dolores Hasenour of Celestine.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a Hayley Paige strapless ballgown with a sweetheart neckline in layered white taffeta with a rhinestone belt and fingertip veil.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Traci Catt and Katie Guillquist.
The bride chose her sister, Aubrey Knies of Celestine, as maid of honor. Melissa Miller and Amanda Schnell, sisters of the groom, of Birdseye and St. Anthony; Blakney Verkamp and Shayla Land, cousins of the bride, both of Celestine; and Kyla Altmann of Ferdinand, Brittany Seger of Celestine, and Kendall Renner of Dubois, all friends of the couple, were bridesmaids. The flower girls were Aubrey Schnell of St. Anthony and Lexie Hasenour of Jasper.
The bridesmaids wore floor-length dresses in a smoky blue with a sequenced bodice and halter top.
The groom chose his brothers, Phil Hasenour of Jasper and Nick Hasenour of Celestine, as best men. Cole, Jeb and Lane Knies, brothers of the bride, all from Celestine; Brandon Hulsman and Evan Hulsman, both of Jasper, and Brandon Verkamp of Celestine, all friends of the couple, were groomsmen. Kurt Sermersheim and Matt Beckman, both of Celestine, friends of the couple, were ushers.
A reception was held at the Ferdinand Community Center, Ferdinand.
The couple took a wedding trip to San José, Costa Rica, and is living in Celestine.
The bride graduated from Northeast Dubois High School, Dubois, in 2012 and from the University of Southern Indiana, Evansville, in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in health administration and a master’s of science degree in occupational therapy. She is an occupational therapist at The Waters of Huntingburg.
Mr. Hasenour graduated from Northeast Dubois High School in 2006 and from Vincennes University in 2008 with an associate’s degree in construction technology. He is employed by Hasenour Construction and is a member of the Celestine Volunteer Fire Department.
