Richard Somerlott 90, of Birdseye, IN, died at home on Saturday May 22, 2021.
He was born September 26, 1930 in Seneca, Michigan to Robert and Hattie (Henson) Somerlott. He was an Army Veteran and served in WWII and Korea. He was a member of the Santa Claus American Legion Post 242 as well as the Texas Auctioneer Association.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and playing cards, he loved his family and his country.
He was preceded in death by his wife Alice ‘Jeanne’, a son Andy Somerlott a daughter Doris Judd and his siblings.
He is survived by his children Estel (Marsha) Somerlott, Carl (Cindy) Somerlott, Jason Medley, Dottie (Russ) Parke, Beverly (Terry) Faulkenburg and Almyra Somerlott, as well as 23 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Wednesday May 26, from 4 - 6 PM CST at Fuller Funeral Home in Dale.
Funeral Services are planned for Thursday May 27, at 10 AM CST at Fuller Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Gentryville, IN.
