Richard D. Parson, 73, Birdseye
February 1, 2021Richard D. "Rick" Parson, age 73, of Birdseye, Indiana, passed away at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021, at home.

Rick was born in Shoals, Indiana, on June 14, 1947, to Walter and Marjorie (Richardson) Parson. He married Carol Fritz on March 7, 1971.
He retired from truck driving, which he had done for many years.
Rick was a member of the Shoals V.F.W.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, fishing, playing cards, playing basketball, and spending time with family. He was also an avid I.U. fan.
Surviving are his wife Carol Parson, Birdseye, IN, two sons, Tony Parson, New Orleans, LA, Brian (Sabine) Parson, Lobbach, Germany, three grandchildren, Christine Parson, Larry Carpenter III, Christy Johnson, four great grandchildren, and one brother, Robert (Linda) Parson, Newburgh, IN.
Preceding him in death are one daughter, Amy Carpenter, and one brother, Charles Parson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
