Residential alarm brings firefighters

JASPER — Units of the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department responded to a residential fire alarm activation Friday morning.

There was no fire associated with the 9:37 a.m. alarm activation at 801 E. 15th St., according to Fire Chief Kenny Hochgesang. The chief said the occupants were home and a detector started chirping.

Three trucks and 26 firefighters were on the scene 10 minutes.
