Reported fight results in charges

JASPER — A man and woman were lodged in the Dubois County Security Center on Thursday evening on various charges, including battery and domestic battery.

According to a Jasper Police Department press release, at approximately 10:30 p.m., JPD was contacted in reference to a fight between a male and female subject near Dewey Street. Brian Williams, 44, Jasper, and Amanda Jones, 35, Jasper, were transported to the Jasper Police Department in reference to recorded interviews.

Jones was found to have injuries to her face and arms and Williams was found to have injuries to his face and neck. After further investigation, it was determined that two separate incidents occurred within the past few days.

Williams was booked in the Dubois County Security Center on charges of domestic battery, battery, and criminal recklessness. Jones was booked in the center on charges of domestic battery, battery, strangulation and criminal recklessness.
