JASPER — A report late Friday afternoon of a vehicle unable to maintain its lane ended in an arrest.
At one point, according to the Jasper Police Department, the caller making the 5:30 p.m. report advised the driver of the vehicle was slumped over the steering wheel at a stop sign.
Officers got behind the 2004 Toyota on Mill Street and observed it go left of center. Those officers initiated a traffic stop at 30th Street and Lottes Drive.
The driver, Alex J. Wagner, 26, 841 Susanna Ave., Jasper, was given a series of standard field sobriety tests. Because of the results, Wagner was asked to provide a breath sample on a certified breath test machine. Police say the test placed his blood alcohol content at .123 percent.
Authorities booked Wagner into the Dubois County Security Center on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated.
