REC sends 2 to nation’s capital

The Dubois Rural Electric Cooperative sponsored two students on the Indiana Youth Tour from June 13 through 20.

The youth tour provides young Hoosiers the opportunity to visit the nation’s capital, learn about government, experience American history and gain a better understanding about their electric cooperative and government.

Samuel Kluemper of Jasper and Colby Stafford of Dubois represented Dubois REC.

Students participating in the trip visited the Flight 93 Memorial, the Gettysburg Battlefield, Arlington National Cemetery, the Smithsonian museums, the National Mall memorials, and the National Museum of the Marine Corps and took a night cruise on the Potomac River.

Dubois REC is a rural electric cooperative headquartered in Jasper that serves more than 10,000 members in the rural areas of Dubois, Crawford, Martin, Orange, Perry and Pike counties. For more information, visit www.duboisrec.com.
