Rebecca Joy (Barnett) Suhrheinrich, known by most as Becky, 58, of Houston, Texas, passed away on July 26, 2018.
Becky was born in Huntingburg to Vernon and Wanda (Jean Gambill) Barnett on August 23, 1959. She went to Southridge High School in Huntingburg from where she graduated in 1977 before eventually settling Bloomington in 1988.
While living in Bloomington, Becky was focused on her family and the greatest joy in her life of being a mother. She also worked as an accountant for the Indiana State Board of Accounts for over 17 years. Known as a hardworking, driven, and dependable employee she always proved to be a key asset on their highest profile audits including Indiana University and the City of Bloomington. To follow her dream of retiring in Florida, she moved to Clearwater, Florida, in 2005 where she worked and enjoyed the beach. In 2014 heartstrings pulled her to Houston, Texas, to be closer to her grandchildren.
Becky was an amazing mother, loving sister and adored grandma. She was fun loving, loved spending time with her family and friends, reading, being outdoors in nature and the sun, watching sports, and taking care of her cats. Her beautiful smile, playful, warm hearted and welcoming spirit, and compassion to help those less fortunate, brought joy to those that knew her.
Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Wanda.
She is survived by her son, Nathan Fuller and wife Gwen; Cinnamon (Vermillion) Dutton and Brandon Vermillion who she helped raise for many years; her brother, Jim Barnett and wife Patty; sister Diane (Barnett) Jaeger and husband Greg; brother Tim Barnett and wife Chris; brother Thomas Barnett and wife Lisa; all her grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
