JASPER — No injuries were reported in a rear-end collision Tuesday at an intersection just southeast of Jasper.
Christian A. Mollenhauer, 28, St. Anthony, was northbound on State Road 162 in a 2007 Ford Edge when the 2:40 p.m. mishap occurred at Schnellville Road, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
Mollenhauer stopped at a red light. When it turned green and he began to proceed, a deputy said, his SUV was rear-ended by a 2004 GMC Sierra pickup truck driven by Jesus J. Martinez Cruz, 28, Jasper.
Martinez Cruz said he saw the green light, went to go and ran into the Mollenhauer vehicle.
Total damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500 but both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.
A deputy cited Martinez Cruz for misdemeanor driving while suspended (prior).
