Prep Girls Golf
Led by Maya Jones and Grace Wendholt’s pair of 50’s the Forest Park girls golf team notched a dual-match win Tuesday evening.
The Lady Rangers slipped by host Vincennes Lincoln by four strokes with a score of 215.
The match was played at the Country Club of Old Vincennes.
Ella Borden and Kelsie Jacob rounded out the scoring for Forest Park with a 55 and 60, respectively.
Kaitlyn Seffernick (62), Grace Hess (65) and Alexis Lasher (67) also played nine holes but did not have their scores count towards the team score.
Forest Park returns to the links Thursday in a dual match against South Spencer at Rustic Country Club.
The Forest Park volleyball team could not get over the hump Tuesday night against visiting Evansville Mater Dei.
The Lady Wildcats pulled away late in three of the four sets in a 3-1 win over the hosts, 25-22, 20-25, 25-23 and 25-16.
Macie Zink led the Lady Rangers attack with 15 kills, while Emma Hassfurther and Faith Zazzetti added four putaways apiece.
Kylie Geisler ran the offense as she handed out 24 assists and also led the team with a pair of aces from the service line.
As a team, Forest Park finished the match with a serving percentage of 94.3.
Kennedy Sermersheim led the Rangers with 12 digs, while Geisler (7) and Bralyn Boehm (6) combined for 13.
Forest Park returns to the court on Thursday as it plays host to Crawford County.
