Rangers clinch winning record
October 9, 2020From Herald Staff Reports
For the first time ever, Forest Park football will finish with a winning record in back-to-back seasons.
The Rangers (6-2, 2-1) notched a 49-6 win at Pocket Athletic Conference rival Pike Central on Friday, with the game being 42-0 before the half.
Senior fullback Jake Begle, just as he has done so often, made the opposing defense pay on Friday to the tune of five carries for 114 yards and a touchdown. However, junior quarterback Cooper Uebelhor also enjoyed a fine game.
Uebelhor was 4-of-9 passing for 108 yards and three scores as the Rangers racked up their third win in a row.
Forest Park will try to close the season with a fourth consecutive win Oct. 16 at home in an attempt to hand Southridge its lone defeat of the regular season.
