From Local Sources
A week that ended with heavy rains and flooding has left four county roads blocked by high water today, according to the Dubois County Highway Department.
Affected high-water roads are:
• County Road 800W north of County Road 300S.
• County Road 150S west of Old Huntingburg Road.
• Ell Creek Road north of County Road 400S.
• Harts Gravel Road at Kings Ridge Road.
Among the more notable county roads now open for traffic is Old Huntingburg Road between Jasper and Huntingburg.
In the last week, Town of Ferdinand officials say that community’s official gauge has recorded 3.94 inches of rain. The weekend closed with a windy Sunday where gusts topped 35 mph.
As always, the public is being reminded to turn around upon encountering water flowing over a roadway.
