Raiders’ Michel named all-stateDecember 10, 2013
Southridge High School senior Aidan Michel has been named to the Associated Press first-team all-state list, the only local football player to receive the honor.
Michel recorded 49 solo tackles and 66 assisted tackles from his linebacker slot this season, helping to pace a Raider defense that permitted 17 points per contest. Michel also two interceptions and broke up three passes.
Jasper’s Austin Alles, Nolan Ahrens and Spencer Otto were all named honorable mention all-state, as were Southridge’s Connor Craig, Ethan Schwoeppe and Brett Nordhoff plus Forest Park’s Alec Hassfurther.
