Radius Indiana to lead business allianceAugust 8, 2014
From local sources
Radius Indiana President Becky Skillman announced this week that the economic development leader will be assuming the functions of the Southern Indiana Business Alliance.
SIBA members, the press release notes, have long been proponents of Crane Division, Naval Support Activity and of strengthening and growing the defense and national security industry in Indiana. SIBA has worked to educate the state and Congressional leaders and Pentagon officials on the value and contribution of Crane to the national defense system.
Radius Indiana serves as the official point of contact for Crane outside the gates.
“I am pleased that the Southern Indiana Business Alliance initiatives will continue to live on and thrive under the leadership of Radius Indiana and Becky Skillman,” said Nyle Riegle, president of SIBA.
“This move represents the building of a stronger, more unified voice as we move forward to help strengthen and grow NSA Crane and the national security and defense industries in Indiana. The SIBA membership will remain engaged in a meaningful way, continuing to make significant ongoing contributions to the future of this region,” Skillman said.
Formed in 2009, Radius Indiana is a regional partnership representing eight counties in south-central Indiana: Dubois, Crawford, Daviess, Greene, Lawrence, Martin, Orange and Washington.
