June 29, 2013By The Associated Press
INDIANAPOLIS — The nation’s only live call-in show about a state’s history has developed a small but loyal following in Indianapolis.
“Hoosier History Live!” airs on WICR-FM at the University of Indianapolis and is hosted by author and former journalist Nelson Price. Its guests have included former Indianapolis Mayor William Hudnut and covered topics from the Blizzard of ”˜78 to Jewish heritage and Indiana connections to Thomas Edison.
Producer Molly Head tells the Indianapolis Business Journal she would love to find a home for the show at additional stations around the state. So far, “Hoosier History Live!” has about 1,000 listeners.
The five-year-old program has aired more than 250 shows.
