Rachel Stenftenagel and Gregory Jones exchanged wedding vows at Holy Family Catholic Church, Jasper, at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 8, 2018. Father John Boeglin officiated the ceremony, and Deacon Mike Helfter assisted.
The bride is the daughter of Joe and Deb Stenftenagel, Jasper. The groom is the son of Charlie and Christy Kerrigan, West Point, and Brian Jones, St. Louis, Missouri.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a strapless, white dress with a lace and sequin bodice and hemline. She wore a waist-length veil with beaded trim and carried a bouquet of peonies with her grandmother’s rosary.
Vocalist was Mary Burke, and violin soloists were Merris Egloff and Mason Breeding, cousins of the bride. Lillian Fultz and Gabe Jones, cousins of the groom, passed out programs and bubbles. Lectors and eucharistic ministers were Donna Renner, godmother of the bride, and Sister Marie Morgan, godmother of the groom. Gerald Stenftenagel, godfather of the bride, and Chris Jones, godfather of the groom, carried the offertory.
The bride chose a friend, Jordan Hedinger, Ferdinand, as matron of honor. Caitlin Knies, Jasper, cousin of the bride, Samantha Jones, St. Louis, sister of the groom, and Nicole Cameron, Indianapolis, and Crystal Smith, Huntingburg, friends of the bride, were bridesmaids. They wore teal, long, strapless gowns and carried a smaller version bouquet of the bride. Kathryn Schiefer, Jasper, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. She wore a white, tea-length dress and carried a white basket with coral rose petals.
Mr. Jones chose his cousin, Dillon Jones, Lafayette, as best man. Andrew Kerrigan, West Point, brother of the groom, Ryan Stenftenagel, Evansville, brother of the bride, and Jordan Sims, Fort Wayne, friend of the groom, were groomsmen. David Newsome, Ohio, brother-in-law of the groom, and Kyle Knies, Jasper, cousin of the bride, were ushers. Noah Newsome, Ohio, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.
The mother of the bride wore a long, black gown with a sequin bodice and silhouette cap sleeves. The groom’s mother wore a sleeveless, navy gown with a court train.
The couple took a wedding trip to Belize and are living in West Lafayette. They are employed by Lafayette Interior Fashions, West Lafayette.
