Puppy Pals

Mya Ziegler, 12, cuddled two golden retriever puppies after introducing them to her family’s horses — Brandy and Dellaray — at her home north of Haysville on Tuesday evening. The Ziegler family’s golden retrievers, Maggie and Marley, recently had a litter of four puppies. Mya and her brother, Easton, 14, have been looking after the puppies this summer. In addition to the puppies, the family has six golden retrievers, a Saint Bernard, two cats, six kittens, two bunnies and two horses. “If you’re sad, they always cheer you up. They’re your best friends,” Mya said.

Easton introduced a golden retriever puppy to his family's horses. "You always get a little attached," Easton said about the letting the pups go to their new homes.
