Program looks at whooping, sandhill cranes

The International Crane Foundation staff will lead a program teaching how to identify whooping and sandhill cranes, the history of their decline and return, and where the birds can be found in Indiana.

The program will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. a.m. CT Saturday, Jan. 11, at Oakland City Public Library.

Afterward participants will gather and caravan to the Patoka River Natural Wildlife Refuge to see if there are any cranes in the area.
