Pro-life advocacy ongoing

Traylor Union Church of God, 4342 N. Country Road 1000E, Otwell, hosted guest speakers, pro-life advocates and representatives for women’s support networks July 23 for the first Abortion Avoidance and Recovery Forum. The focus of the forum was empowering women to learn about the wealth of resources and support available to them from people in the community. The event was planned in response to the outpouring of support the church received for their grassroots organizing against abortion, which culminated in a public petition, which has more than 500 signatures, published in The Herald in May. Future plans for Pro-Life advocacy and activism are in the works, and the petition effort is ongoing.
