Prius plows into Huntingburg-area ditch

HUNTINGBURG — A motorist who reached for something in his car Thursday ended up running off the county road he was traveling northwest of Huntingburg.
Wilson E. Keene, 45, Bloomfield, was northbound on Old Huntingburg Road in a 2015 Toyota Prius when the 2:44 p.m. accident occurred 800 feet south of County Road 250S, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
Keene’s car ran off the east side of the road as he reached for something, a deputy reported. The Prius traveled 20 feet through the ditch before stopping.
A KARS wrecker later towed the car.
