JASPER — Indiana State Police brought a Cuzco-area woman to the Dubois County Security Center on Tuesday on a theft warrant.
Brooke A. Mundy, 24, 9868 E. Cuzco Road North, French Lick, is charged with a Level 6 felony count of theft.
Court documents allege Mundy attempted to take $236.25 worth of merchandise from the Walmart Supercenter at 4040 N. Newton St. on Oct. 29, 2017. The case was investigated by the Jasper Police Department and a warrant for Mundy’s arrest was issued April 13.
Authorities say the theft charge is being elevated to a felony because of a previous conviction for theft in Dubois County.
Mundy was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 2:38 p.m.
