It is known that the more you know about your pregnancy and childbirth, the better you will be able to cope with and adjust to changes during this time. Expectant parents are invited to
attend Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s “Preparation for Childbirth” classes held on Thursday, September 16th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
“Preparation for Childbirth” is class to help prepare expectant mothers and support persons for childbirth, including a tour of the Women and Infant Services Unit. Mother and the one
support person who will assist the mother during delivery of the baby may attend the class.
This class is being held at 800 W. 9th St., Jasper, in Memorial Hospital’s Board Conference Room ABC. It is free to those who are delivering at Memorial Hospital or $65. The “Preparation for Childbirth” classes are conducted by qualified obstetrical nursing personnel.

All guidelines recommended by the CDC will be implemented. All class attendants will have temperatures taken prior to admittance into class. Those greater than 100 degrees will not be permitted to enter.
Please do not attend if you or your support person have in the previous 72 hours:
-fever of 100.0 or higher
-developed new respiratory infection symptoms, such as shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, cough, sore throat, etc.
-experienced new onset of: chills, repeated shaking with chills,
muscle pain, headache, or loss of taste or smell.
-been in contact with a known or suspected positive case of
coronavirus without the appropriate PPE
-had a family member with symptoms, notified that they were a close
contact (within 6 feet) or a known positive case of coronavirus.
