Prep Wrap: Wildcats win season opener

Perhaps you could not make Jasper's season-opening win Tuesday at Evansville Harrison. Don't worry. We've got you covered.

Prep boys basketball: Jasper 62, Evansville Harrison 51: Jasper had seven more turnovers and one more foul than Evansville Harrison, but the Wildcats still came out on top in their first game of the 2019-20 season. They got off to an 18-6 lead after one, and never looked back. Jasper dominated on the boards, 31-15, and also had more helpers, 20-5. Junior Caleb Burger led the way with a game-high 21 points, and senior Quentin Harmon came in second with 15. The Wildcats are set to play Evansville Reitz 8 p.m. Saturday at the University of Southern Indiana for its next game.

Prep swimming: Boonville defeated Heritage Hills on Tuesday. Heritage Hills is next slated to be back in action Monday at Pike Central.
