The Southridge boys tennis team did not get much resistance from visiting Mt. Vernon Tuesday evening.
The Raiders cruised to straight set wins in all five matches in the 5-0 shutout.
Austin Barkley and Max Rasche picked up the most impressive wins of the night at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, respectively.
Barkley lost just one game in his 6-0, 6-1 win over Pake Davis, while Rasche won 6-2, 6-0 over JT Rapp.
Rangers win on the road
Nathan Jarboe, Landen Marks and Brandon Andry all picked up wins on the singles court for the Forest Park boys tennis team on Tuesday.
The visiting Rangers picked up a 4-1 win over Crawford County.
Forest Park’s top tandem of Caiden Persohn and Wes Stout picked up the other point in the win.
Patriots drop close match
Heritage Hills dropped two of three matches on the singles court in a 3-2 loss to Evansville North on Monday.
The Patriots No. 2 singles player JT Smallwood won in three sets, while the No. 2 doubles team of Jacob Smith and Aiden Susnjara also earned victory.
Tigers take out Southridge spikers
Visiting Princeton picked up wins in the first two sets en route to a 3-1 win over Southridge Tuesday evening.
After losing 25-23, 25-17, the Lady Raiders fought back to force a fourth set with a 25-16 win before Princeton closed out the match, 25-21.
Anna Altstadt (9) and Myah Montgomery (7) combined for 16 kills in the loss.
Savanah Goeppner and Maddy Songer ran the Lady Raiders offense with 16 and 14 assists, respectively.
Tatiana Delgado led Southridge with 14 digs, while Montgomery added three blocks.

Lady Raiders earn win on the links
Even with No. 1 golfer Baileigh Schneider out of the lineup Tuesday evening, Southridge picked up a triangular win against Heritage Hills and South Spencer.
Emma Marley earned medalist honors with a 50 as the Lady Raiders finished with a score of 215.
Heritage Hills finished second with a 238 and was led by Taylor Klem and Katelyn Davis — both a 59’s — while South Spencer finished with a 243.

Lady Rangers play to draw on the pitch
Forest Park and Providence combined to score four goals in the first 40 minutes of play Tuesday afternoon.
Then defense took reined in a scoreless second half as the two teams finished in a 2-2 draw.
Denai Sicard scored both goals for Forest Park with Lauren Jahn and Kenlee Gehlhausen assisted on the scores.

Jeep harriers cruise to wins
The Northeast Dubois boys and girls’ cross country teams cruised to a pair of victories Tuesday evening at Paoli.
In the boys’ race, the Jeeps earned a perfect score of 15 as they swept the first seven spots in the race in a 15-50 win.
On the girls side, NED took the top three spots and four of the first five in a 20-35 win.
