Prep sports wrap: 9/14September 14, 2018

Thursday night was packed with an abundance of local teams in action in a variety of places. Here’s a brief rundown of all of last night’s local prep sports action.
Patriots 1, Chargers 0: In a battle that came right down to the wire, Heritage Hills was able to score a late goal to slip past PAC foe Pike Central in Lincoln City.
With the victory, the Patriots have now won four matches in a row and improved their conference record to 4-1.
Wildcats 5, Alices 0: On Senior Night, the Jasper girls soccer team came through with a big conference victory and shutout Vincennes Lincoln at Jasper.
Gabby Budd, Ana Cruz, Isabelle Blazey, Kara Krueger and Regan Mundy all scored goals for the Cats while Budd, Cruz and Kimber Schnarr all had assists for Jasper in the victory.
Rangers 3, Titans 1: The Forest Park girls soccer team traveled to Fort Branch and came with a big road victory over PAC foe Gibson Southern on Thursday evening.
Leah Dilger, Kenlee Gehlhausen and Emma Grundhoefer all had goals for the Rangers while Abbey Eckert and Denai Sicard recorded assists.
Wildcats 3, Panthers 2: The Jasper boys tennis team traveled to Bloomington South on Thursday evening and came away with a big victory over the Panthers.
Victorious for Jasper was Eli Franks (No. 1 singles), Max Sternberg (No. 3 dingles) and Mitch Kluemper/Bennett Schmitt (No. 1 doubles).
Patriots 4, Jeeps 1: The Heritage Hills boys tennis team continued their dominance on Thursday by slicing past Northeast Dubois for another victory.
Winners for Heritage Hills were Logan Smallwood (No. 1 singles), Josh Dellamuth (No. 2 singles), Zack Weaver (No. 3 singles) and Luke Peters/JT Smallwood (No. 1 doubles). The lone victory for the Jeeps came at No. 2 doubles with Ross Mehringer and Tucker Neukam securing the victory.
Raiders 4, Warriors 1: Make it three victories in a row now for the Southridge boys tennis team as they traveled to Evansville to face Harrison and came away with the victories.
Southridge saw victories from No. 2 singles Austin Barkley, No. 3 singles Michael Kappner, No. 1 doubles Alex Biehl/Garrett Altmeyer and No. 2 doubles Konnor Thyen/Max Rasche.
Raiders 3, Cougars 1: The Southridge volleyball team continued their hot streak as they defeated North Daviess on Thursday evening 23-25, 25-10, 25-18, 25-12. Stat leaders for Southridge were Anna Altstadt (22 kills), Savannah Goeppner (18 assists), Tatiana Delgado (20 digs), Mady Neukam (17 digs) and Amanda Brewer (four blocks).
Patriots 3, Bears 0: Talk about a dominating performance — the Heritage Hills volleyball team didn’t allow more than 15 points in any set and shut down the Evansville Central offense en route to a 25-4, 25-10, 25-15 victory at home.
Stat leaders for the Pats were Grace Vinson (six kills, four digs), Rebekah Gordon (six kills, seven digs), Hannah Marchand (12 assists, eight digs), Shelby Skelton (four aces) and Hannah Schnuck (16 digs).
