Prep sports wrap: 5/3May 3, 2019

Most local sporting events on Thursday evening were either cancelled or postponed due to heavy showers earlier in the day but a few local teams pressed their luck and it paid off as they were able to get in their contests.
Here's a brief rundown of Thursday night's prep sports action.
Rangers 11, Wolfpack 4: After falling behind 3-0 early in Marengo, the Forest Park baseball team used a four-run third inning and a five-run sixth inning to pull away for a road victory over Crawford County.
Gavin Knust, Aaron Hurst, Drew Howard and Garret Berg all had multi-hit games for the Rangers while Berg led the way with three RBIs.
Elliott Rothgerber was the winning pitcher on the mound for Forest Park.
Marksmen 170, Raiders 179: In a battle of Pocket Athletic Conference foes, Tell City defeated Southridge at the Huntingburg Country Club.
Colin Noble of Tell City was the match medalist with a score of 37 while Coby Reller led the Raiders with a 42. Michael Kappner (45), Aidan Blessinger (45), Tristan Boerner (47), Carson Mundy (48) and Owen Kinker (53) rounded out Southridge's scoring.
