Prep sports wrap: 2/6February 5, 2019

Several local divers traveled to Bloomington to compete in the IHSAA regional meet while the Southridge and Forest Park boys basketball teams cruised to victories.
Here’s a brief rundown of Tuesday night’s prep sports action.
Local divers fall just short: Jasper’s Zoe and Olivia Biggs and Southridge’s Evie Sherer traveled to Bloomington North High School to compete in the IHSAA’s regional diving meet where the top eight finishers advance to this weekend’s State Finals in Indianapolis.
Zoe Biggs nearly qualified but finished ninth with a score of 337.55. Olivia Biggs placed 15th overall with a score of 212.90 while Sherer finished 16th with a score of 211.10.
Mooresville’s Sadie Mills was the regional champ with a score of 446.90.
Raiders 64, Commodores 43: The Southridge boys basketball team has now won five straight games after defeating Perry Central in Leopold on Tuesday evening.
With the victory, Southridge is now 14-5 on the season as they look to keep up this momentum heading into postseason play.
Colson Montgomery led the Raiders with a team-high 30 points while Joe LaGrange added 19 and Jaden Hayes finished with nine points.
Rangers 62, Trojans 43: Forest Park jumped out to a 36-19 halftime lead over Wood Memorial and never looked back as the Rangers defeated the Trojans on the team’s senior night.
It was a big night for senior Reid Steffe as he finished with a career-high 17 points with 15 of them coming from the three-point line.
Curt Hopf led all scorers with 24 points and nine rebounds. Wood Memorial was led by Paxon Bartley who finished with 17 points.
