LYNNVILLE — The Warrick County Sheriff’s Office says investigators have preliminarily identified the victim whose body was found Friday southwest of Lynnville.
Police say the case is being treated as a homicide investigation.
The remains of a Caucasian female were found near the intersection of Seven Hills Road and Wasson Road.
Now police have shared the victim’s body was badly burned. Authorities say they will not be releasing the name until her identity is confirmed.
While releasing the update, the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office thanked the public for tips that helped lead to the preliminary identification.
