JASPER — Precious Blood Catholic Church’s annual picnic will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19. The public is invited.
Family-style meals will be served in an air-conditioned cafeteria from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meals include fried chicken, roast beef and gravy, chicken and dumplings, mashed potatoes, dressing, green beans, slaw, cake and a drink.
Drive-thru meals or outside meals will be served with fried chicken, dressing, green beans, slaw and cake. Serving will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $9.
Hamburgers, cheeseburgers, turkey tenders, curly fries, soup by the bowl, soft drinks, lemonade shake-ups and ice cream will be available in the refreshment stand.
Homemade soup will be available by the gallon at the soup stand or the drive-thru line.
Games for the children include a duck pond, fish pond, putt putt and ring toss. Clowns will do face painting and balloon sculptures.
A quilt stand and poker will be under the big tent.
Bingo, a basket raffle, silent auction, grand raffle, country store and special quilt raffle are available in the air-conditioned gym. Drawings will be held at 4 p.m. in the gym.
