Portersville site of car-vs-deer collision

PORTERSVILLE — No injuries were reported in a passenger-car-versus-deer collision Wednesday at Portersville.
Jalisa D. Phillips, 30, Jasper, was southbound on Portersville Road in a 2020 Nissan Versa when the 8:20 a.m. accident occurred 500 feet north of Portersville Road East, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said the Nissan Phillips was driving collided with a deer that came onto the roadway from the east.
Damage to the vehicle’s left front was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
The Nissan was able to be driven from the scene.
