From Local Sources
JASPER — Police are reporting that minor injuries resulted from a car-versus-pedestrian accident early Tuesday afternoon on Hillside Drive south of Second Avenue/State Road 164.
Kim E. Geck, 61, of rural Huntingburg, was eastbound on Hillside Drive in a 2008 Toyota Camry at the time of the 12:14 p.m. accident, according to the Jasper Police Department.
Because of environmental conditions, police said, Geck was unable to see John Brzezinski, 60, walking in the roadway.
Brzezinski, who resides on Hillside Drive, suffered minor injuries and was treated at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, police said.
No citations were issued and damage to the Camry was estimated at $450.
Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services and the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department’s first responders assisted.
