JASPER — Total damage was estimated between $5,000 and $10,000 in a car-versus-van collision Thursday afternoon east of Jasper.
Alan F. Fromme, 55, Dubois, was eastbound on State Road 164 in a 2010 Chevrolet Express when the 5:37 p.m. mishap occurred at Jasper-Dubois Road, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
Fromme stopped to turn north onto the county road, and when he did, the Express was rear-ended by a 2002 Ford Focus driven by Shawn M. Mills, 48, Corydon, according to the sheriff’s office.
A Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services ambulance came to the scene and a Uebelhor & Sons wrecker assisted by towing the Mills Ford.
