JASPER — A motorist escaped injury in a car-versus-deer collision Friday night just west of Jasper.
Jonathan A. Lindsay, 46, Jasper, was southbound on County Road 400W in a 2009 Dodge Challenger when the 8:38 p.m. accident occurred at Shiloh Road, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said Lindsay’s Challenger collided with a deer that came onto the roadway from the east.
The deer was located deceased at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.
Damage to the car was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000 but the Dodge was able to be driven from the scene.
