JASPER — The Jasper Police Department is hoping to talk with anyone who witnessed a car-versus-truck accident Wednesday morning at Third and Newton street.
David Harvey, 62, Petersburg, was southbound on Newton Street in a 1993 Ford Mustang at the time of the 10:33 a.m. accident, according to authorities.
Police say Charles Voegerl, 68, Jasper, was eastbound on Third Street in a 2004 Ford Ranger and was attempting to turn left onto Newton Street.
The vehicles collided in the intersection.
Harvey suffered a cut to the wrist but declined to be transported for treatment.
Damage was estimated at $7,500 to the Harvey Mustang and $2,000 to the Voegerl Ranger.
Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to contact the Jasper Police Department at 812-482-2255 or the department’s anonymous tip line at 481-COPS (2677).
Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services assisted.
