BRETZVILLE — The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help as deputies investigate a weekend shooting incident in the Hill Haven area off County Road 350S, east of State Road 162.
Police were called at 6:30 p.m. Saturday to the report of a truck’s windshield being shot. Deputies said the projectile is thought to have been a 150 grain, hollow point, boat-tail slug.
Deputies are using the incident to urge shooters to use extreme caution and be aware of their surroundings when firing high-powered rifles.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the sheriff’s department at 482-3522.
