Police seek hydrant hit-and-run driver

JASPER — The Jasper Police Department is asking for the public’s help as officers investigate a weekend hit-and-run incident involving a fire hydrant.
Police say an older model, blue Chevrolet Camaro was reported running off the roadway at Third and Church avenues at 4:39 p.m. Saturday. The car struck a fire hydrant and then left the scene, according to authorities.
Anyone with information regarding the accident is asked to call Jasper police at 812-482-2255 or the anonymous tip line: 812-481-COPS.
