LINCOLN CITY — Law enforcement agencies are currently looking for several suspects who fled on foot from police Thursday night in Spencer County. The suspects could be armed, according to police, who have advised nearby residents to lock their doors.
Police have been searching the area between Dale and Lincoln City. They said the incident began with a police pursuit on Interstate 64 in Warrick County, which ended at the Spencer County location near Lincoln State Park. Up to four suspects fled on foot near the park.
The search prompted the North Spencer County School Corporation to cancel extracurricular activities mid-evening Thursday and classes are canceled today.
If you see something or someone suspicious, call 911 or contact the Indiana State Police at 800-742-7475.
