HUNTINGBURG — Police made an arrest after responding to a Monday morning report of a naked man at a farm equipment dealership passed out in a tractor.
The Huntingburg Police Department was called at 7:30 a.m. to Hopf Equipment, 506 E. 19th St. Officers arrived to news that the man was unable to be located.
During a search, police said, a 911 caller advised a naked man had just ran across U.S. 231 and was now in bushes near an apartment complex across from Hopf Equipment.
After a short search, officers located Michael R. Hiser, 43, New Albany, in a wood line near Lincoln Village Apartments.
Police said Hiser was nude and was unaware of his location. He was transported to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center where he was treated and released, according to police.
Authorities then booked Hiser into the Dubois County Security Center at 11:46 a.m. on preliminary misdemeanor counts of public intoxication with a controlled substance and public nudity.
Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services assisted.
