Police make trespassing arrest at Walmart

JASPER — Police took a Kentucky man into custody on an active warrant Friday night and accused him of a new offense.

The Jasper Police Department was called to the report of a possible wanted person in the Walmart Supercenter at 4040 N. Newton St. at 4:50 p.m.

Police made contact with Douglas E. Jacobson, 40, Henderson, Kentucky, and confirmed he was named in an active warrant out of Vanderburgh County. Police also confirmed Jacobson had been barred from the Walmart store since September 2018.

Authorities booked Jacobson into the Dubois County Security Center at 10:53 p.m. on the active warrant and on a preliminary misdemeanor count of criminal trespass.
