Police make residential entry, battery arrest

HUNTINGBURG — Police arrested a man Friday and accused him of residential entry and domestic battery.

The Huntingburg Police Department was contacted at 2:20 p.m. to conduct a welfare check because of a possible domestic incident that had occurred.

After investigating, police alleged Jose J. Cruz Mora, 27, 913 N. Jackson St., Huntingburg, had entered the residence of a female complainant and refused to leave. An altercation then became physical, police reported.

Authorities booked Cruz Mora into the Dubois County Security Center at 5:58 p.m. on preliminary charges of Level 6 felony residential entry and misdemeanor domestic battery.
