Police make public intoxication arrest

From Local Sources

HUNTINGBURG — Police investigating a reckless driving complaint Saturday afternoon placed a Daviess County man into custody for an alcohol-related offense.

Huntingburg Police Department officers responding to a 2:45 p.m. complaint about reckless driving found the car parked at a north-side apartment complex.

Police said the intoxicated man with the car, Erick Estrada, 41, Washington, was informed he was not welcome at the apartment where he was located. Police advised Estrada to call someone to take him from the scene because of his intoxication.

Estrada could not keep his balance and had slurred speech, according to authorities. After he urinated on his vehicle with police at the scene, Estrada was arrested and booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 5:03 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of public intoxication. Estrada posted bond Sunday morning.
