JASPER — The Jasper Police Department took a man into custody Saturday night, accusing him of intimidation, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Police fielded an 8:52 p.m. call from a concerned citizen at an apartment complex reporting a man in the parking lot drinking a beer and yelling at someone on the phone. The report indicated the man had been loud for quite some time and was saying concerning things.

Police who made contact with Jamie Ford, 48, 279 Baden Strasse, Jasper, reported his blood alcohol content tested .157% on a portable breath test. Police also made contact with the female Ford had been on the phone with and determined he had allegedly made threats during the conversation.

Authorities booked Ford into the Dubois County Security Center at 1:03 a.m. Sunday on preliminary misdemeanor counts of intimidation, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
