JASPER — The Jasper Police Department took a man into custody Tuesday night, accusing him of felony intimidation and battery.
Police were called at 8:20 p.m. to the report of a disturbance in the city involving a man and a woman. The man, Andrew B. Fitzgerald, 37, 1411 Greene St., Jasper, allegedly confronted the woman at a location in Jasper, prompting a call to police.
After investigating, police alleged Fitzgerald made threatening statements to the woman.
Authorities booked Fitzgerald into the Dubois County Security Center at 11:52 p.m. on preliminary charges of Level 6 felony intimidation and misdemeanor battery.
