JASPER — A Saturday night report of an altercation at Dubois Apartments, 434 W. 43rd St., resulted in an arrest.
Jasper Police Department officers called to the complex at 8:47 p.m. were told Breanna M. Christmon, 29, 140 W. State Road 64, Birdseye, had been extremely verbally abusive inside an apartment because of her level of intoxication. She had been asked to leave but had refused in an incident that ultimately turned physical, witnesses said.
Christmon had left the area by the time officers arrived but police soon made contact with her and could tell she was highly intoxicated, according to authorities.
Police said Christmon’s blood alcohol content later tested 0.32% in a portable breath test at the police station.
Authorities booked Christmon into the Dubois County Security Center at 11:52 p.m. on preliminary misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and public intoxication. She was given a date to appear in court and released Sunday evening.
