JASPER — Police arrested a Spencer County man Saturday evening after responding to the report of a man throwing things at passing vehicles near 13th and Newton streets.
Jasper Police Department officers responding to the 6 p.m. incident reported finding Jose Santillian Sandoval, 25, 107 S. Main St., Dale, standing in the middle of 13th Street interfering with traffic.
Police say Santillian Sandoval showed signs of impairment and allegedly had a blood alcohol content that tested .311%.
While searching Santillian Sandoval prior to his arrest, police reported finding him in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Once he was medically cleared at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, Santillian Sandoval was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 9:03 p.m. on preliminary misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct, public intoxication and possession of marijuana.
