Police make confinement, battery arrest

From Local Sources

HAYSVILLE — Police placed a woman into custody Wednesday on allegations of battery, confinement and interference with the making of a 911 call.

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department went to the 609 W. Haysville Road residence of 39-year-old Danielle L. Scott to investigate the report of a possible battery.

The sheriff’s department alleges an investigation determined Scott committed two acts of simple battery, blocked a victim from leaving a room and took a cellphone the victim wanted to use to call 911.

Authorities booked Scott into the Dubois County Security Center at 1:54 p.m. on preliminary charges that included a Level 6 felony count of criminal confinement, two misdemeanor counts of battery and a misdemeanor count of interference with the making of a 911 call.
