JASPER — A Jasper man has been charged with felony child molesting.
In an affidavit for warrant for arrest, Indiana State Police allege Charles C. Allen, 40, 5479 E. State Road 164, Jasper, had sexual contact with a juvenile under the age of 14 last month.
Allen denied ever touching the victim when interviewed by police, according to court documents.
A warrant charging Allen with a Level 3 felony count of child molesting was issued out of Dubois Circuit Court on Friday. Allen was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 9:04 p.m. on the active warrant.
During an initial court appearance Tuesday, Allen advised he would hire counsel. The court placed Allen on pretrial work release, ordered him to have no contact with the alleged victim and set his next court appearance for Tuesday.
