JASPER — The Jasper Police Department brought a man to the Dubois County Security Center on a warrant charging him with failing to return to lawful detention.

Court documents indicate William E.J. Yarbrough, 21, 448 W. 43rd St., Jasper, was a work-release participant who did not return to the Dubois County Community Corrections Center from his place of employment in Orange County after being terminated Aug. 11.

A warrant charging him with a Level 6 felony count of failure to return to lawful detention was issued in Dubois Circuit Court on Aug. 13. Yarbrough was also named in a failure-to-appear warrant out of Dubois Superior Court after he did not attend an initial hearing last week in a case involving a misdemeanor count of driving while having never been licensed.

Authorities booked Yarbrough into the security center at 11:31 a.m. Wednesday.
