DALE — A male sustained life-threatening injuries in a shooting at a holiday firework gathering near Dale early Saturday morning.
The incident took place at 3:15 a.m. CT on Spencer County Road 225E just west of Dale, according to the Spencer County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies and troopers responded.
According to police, several individuals were attending a holiday firework gathering when an argument occurred and a firearm was brandished at which point one adult male was shot resulting in life-threatening injuries.
The type of weapon and number of shots are still under investigation and will not be released at this time, state police reported.
State police investigators are trying to determine the identity of the person/s involved.
Spencer County Emergency Medical Services and the Carter Fire District Volunteer Fire Department also assisted.le.
