HUNTINGBURG — A Huntingburg Police Department officer arrested a motorist for a felony driving offense Saturday night.
The 8:26 p.m. traffic stop came on the heels of the officer noting that a vehicle driven by Brian P. Tumbleson, 46, 102 E. Fourth St., Huntingburg, was operating at night with no headlights at Sixth and Main streets.
During the stop, police determined that Tumbleson, who initially gave police a false name, was classified as a habitual traffic violator.
Authorities booked Tumbleson into the Dubois County Security Center at 9:23 p.m. on preliminary charges of Level 5 felony driving while classified as a habitual traffic violator for life and misdemeanor false informing.
